This site was created by Gibran Parvez, a student of Westfield High School in Chantilly, Virginia. It is a fascinating collection of maps, pictures, and historical information about the area on and around Dulles Airport.
As described in the "INFO" page of the site, "The project began in late December of 2008 as part of an idea to use photography and cartography as a perspective and means of navigating a site dedicated to the Dulles Area. Parvez had an interest in local history for years prior to the site's development, and decided to create this historical database after discovering the availability of historic aerial photos dating back to 1957. In January, Parvez began transcribing what he found on these 1957 photos to his own map, that he could utilize for his website freely."
